Week 13 Fantasy Football Start or Sit Calls to Help You Win

New York Giants

Terrence Kirker thinks Eli’s arm is officially back for fantasy use.

I hope everyone had their fill of turkey, food and football last week. I know I did. I’m still stuffed. For some, this is the final week so lets get crackin’ and get that fantasy football playoff spot locked down, shall we?

A good way to start the process is going through some fantasy football start and sit calls. Here’s what I’m thinking in that light for week 13:

START

QB, Eli Manning, New York Giants

It seemed all the Giants needed was a bye week. Eli looked good against the Packers and I think they have their sights set on putting a strangle-hold on the division against Washington. 385 passing, 2TD’s

QB, Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

He makes the list again this week. He’s taking on the Kansas City Chiefs so how can I not like him…especially after last week’s game against the Eagles. 265 passing, 2 TD’s, 68 rushing yards, TD

RB, Ahmad Bradshaw, New York Giants

Bradshaw was a bull against the Packers. Also, Andre Brown won’t be around to steal goalline carries and TD’s. 112 rushing, 2 TD

RB, Mikel Leshoure, Detroit Lions

Leshoure has been productive as of late and with the Lions up against a wall in terms of the playoffs, he has to be productive. 105 rushing, 2 TD’s

WR, Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton could be on a roll now and Smith could benefit tremendously against Kansas City. Smith is due for a huge game. 8 receptions 143 yards, 2 TD’s

WR, Cecil Shorts, Jacksonville Jaguars

If he’s still available then go get him. He is on fire right now and is facing a very weak and vulnerable Buffalo secondary. 6 receptions, 123 yards, TD

TE, Tony Moeaki, Kansas City Chiefs

Kind of a gut pick here. I just like him against Carolina. Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe will be keyed so Moeaki benefits. 5 receptions 87 yards, TD

SIT

QB, Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Freeman could be due for a blow up against a good pass rush. Denver can get to the QB in a hurry. It’s not that I don’t like Freeman it’s just more of a “be careful.”

RB, Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks

If the Bears stop Lynch, they win the game. It’s that simple. Lynch is all the Bears will be focused on.

RB, Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans

He’s come on as of late and had a nice game against Houston earlier but that just will not happen again.

WR, Torry Smith, Baltimore Ravens

Flacco just seems to be struggling a little. Going up against the Steelers and the best pass defense could be a long day for him which makes Torrey Smith suffer

WR, Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers

If Big Ben somehow comes back I like Wallace, However, don’t like the backup situation going on in Pittsburgh.

TE, Jermichael Finley, Green Bay Packers

I’m disappointed in Finley. He had some targets against the Giants but no end zone. It’s more about Cobb and Jones for TD’s.
